Live and Work in Remote Communities (Arnhem Land / Northern Australia)
Under the guidance of the Site Manager, you will enhance the quality of life for Remote Australia Employment Service (RAES) participants by facilitating meaningful employment and addressing barriers to participation.
Case Management: Support participants in obtaining personal ID, developing tailored employment goals, and utilising the ECSN system for comprehensive tracking.
Barrier Resolution: Collaborate with participants to identify roadblocks to employment and co-design practical solutions.
Administration: Manage site logistics, staff rosters, and deliver accurate weekly performance reports in line with ALPA timelines.
Cultural Integration: Ensure deep respect for local cultural practices and family structures is integrated into all daily activities and decision-making.
Industry Experience: Previous experience as an Employment Consultant, Activity Coordinator, or Site Manager within the RAES or Community Development Program (CDP) systems.
Cultural Capability: Proven experience working within remote Indigenous communities and delivering community services is highly desirable.
Alignment: A collaborative communication style deeply aligned with ALPA’s mission to improve the economic wellbeing of First Nations peoples.
Tech Savvy: High-level competence in Microsoft Office Suite and employment services business systems.
Resilience & Travel: Readiness to travel to remote communities via unsealed roads or light aircraft, alongside strong time-management skills.
Mandatory Requirements:
Ability and willingness to travel via light aircraft.
Willingness to undergo all relevant background checks and clearances required for remote community work.
FREE Accommodation and fully covered utilities.
7 weeks annual leave + 17.5% leave loading.
14% superannuation.
2 return flights per year to Darwin.
Mobile phone allowance.
